KDIPA Participates in Macroeconomic Model Launch for Kuwait

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the launch of the customized macroeconomic model for the State of Kuwait, held on September 19 2018, which was organized by the Kuwait Public Policy Centre (KPPC) under the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Planning and Development (GSSCPD), with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at the United Nations House in Kuwait. The Launch commenced with opening remarks by the Secretary General of the GSSCPD Dr. Khaled Mahdi. The project overview was given by a representative from Berkeley Research Group (BRG), and a presentation was done by Oxford Economics on the model, its applications, and capabilities. A “White Paper on Labor Market and the Sustainability of Kuwait Public Sector Employment” was given. The event concluded with a Q&A session. The attendees of the event represented various stakeholders from concerned government entities, the private sector and civil society organizations.
