Nov-13-2013, Kuwait Foreign Investment Bureau(KFIB) participated in a workshop on “Increasing Foreign Direct Investment(FDI)Flows to OIC Member Countries “held by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and Coordination Office of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), group of Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and the Republic of Turkey prime Ministry Investment Support and promotion Agency (ISPAT) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara, Turkey, during the period from 30 September – 01 October, 2013. the event was attended by several relevant ministries and national investment promotion agencies in the OIC member countries and other International institutions. Participants focused in the workshop on the challenges and obstacles facing OIC members and its efforts to attract more FDI flows, showcasing country experience, best practices and lessons learned. At the conclusion, a set of policy recommendations were developed to lead the creation of a more enabling environment to attract FDI flows in OIC members for the long term.
