KDIPA organizes Kuwait Economic Forum in Brussels

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) organized the Kuwait Economic Forum in collaboration with the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC) and with the Embassy of Kuwait in Brussels on the 20th of February, 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. The Forum also entailed a power breakfast that took place the following day with media representatives and a meeting with the European Union.

 Mr. Qaisar Hijazin, Secretary General of ABLCC, and H.E. Mr. Jassem Al-Budaiwi, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Belgium, EU, NATO and Luxembourg, each gave his welcome remarks and invited the attendees to learn more about Kuwait’s Vision 2035.

 KDIPA was represented by Mr. Mohammed Yacoub, Assistant Director-General for Business Development, who spoke about the National Development Plan and on KDIPA’s role in strengthening Kuwait’s private sector and achieving Kuwait’s 2035 vision. KDIPA was also represented by Ms. Tasneem Al-Hudaib from the One-Stop Shop Department and by Ms. Bedour Al-Foudari from the Promotional Activities Department.

 The forum aimed to boost trade and economic ties between Kuwait and Belgium. The attendees heard from representatives from several Kuwaiti organizations including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kuwait Banking Association, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, and the Capitals Markets Authority.
