KDIPA Organizes an Interactive Workshop with the World Bank on Doing Business Reform Priorities

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) organized a one day interactive workshop as part of the technical support provided by the World Bank for identifying reform priorities to improve the overall business environment in Kuwait. The workshop held on 1st June 2016, at KDIPA’s premises, and attended by KDIPA’s Streamlining Business Environment team and the focal teams representing members of the Permanent Committee or Streamlining Business Environment in Kuwait (PCK) from the Ministries of Commerce & Industry, Justice, Finance, Electricity & Water, Central Bank of Kuwait, Kuwait Municipality, and the General Directorate of Customs. The World Bank experts presented proposed short and medium terms reform recommendations to improve the business environment in Kuwait for nine out of ten topics that comprise the Ease of Doing Business Index. The workshop concluded with an action plan that captures the steps for the next phase of this initiative.
